Buy a Pressure King Pro 5L , the 3L and 6L .
Pressure King Pro 5 Litre
The Pressure King Pro 12 in 1 5 Litre is the most popular choice of size of pressure cooker for the average family. It comes in 3 colours, chrome, black and red. The 5 Litre internal pot is big enough to cook a medium chicken in it, certainly big enough for most meals you might want to prepare.
You can use the pressure cooker for other things too:
- Not just a Pressure Cooker, the Pressure King Pro can also be used for Sautéing/Browning, and as a Slow Cooker, Steamer and Warmer. Also features 24-hour delay timer – simply set it in the morning
If you want to brown your meat first before adding the rest of the ingredients for your recipe, then you can do that in this pressure cooker. Use the stew function, this heats up the bottom of the pot, add a little oil and you can brown off your meat, your veg if you wish and then add your stock and flavourings, cancel the stew function, put on the lid, set the pressure valve to ON, press the meat button, adjust the time to suit and then go. You can cook your meat in about 40 mins.
The Pressure King Pro has a delay timer, this is so useful if you work, you can delay the cook time and have it start cooking to be ready just as you walk in the door, and if you’re late, the keep warm function kicks in at the end of cooking time so it will still be ready for you when you get in.
There are a set of accessories that come with your Pressure King Pro 5L, the internal, non-stick pot, a steam tray, a measuring cup, a spoon and a recipe book. So if you’re not sure what you might use it for, there are plenty of ideas in here. There are also quite a lot of step by step recipes on youtube if you like visual instructions.
This is great for one pot meals, but if you just want to steam your veg, cook rice or porridge you have that capability too.
Pressure King Pro 3 Litre
The Pressure King Pro 3 Litre is targeted more towards the single person or a couple, where you don’t need quite the volume for cooking.
It comes in 2 colours, chrome and black.
There aren’t as many functions as the 5 litre, but to be honest, the function buttons on the front are only pre-set times for each food type. If you know what time you want to cook something for then you can just press any button and adjust the time to what you want, then you can pretty much cook whatever you want.
You still have the delay timer on this small pressure cooker, so if you live on your own and can’t always be bothered to cook for yourself, if you can throw a few things in the pot and set it, you can come into a cooked meal at night. It doesn’t take a lot of skill, just a bit of planning and preparation.
The only thing that doesn’t come with this pressure cooker is the steam tray, that’s not to say you wouldn’t be able to find something you could use online, but you need to be aware before you buy. This is the only small electric pressure cooker I’ve found in the UK.
Pressure King Pro 6 Litre
You’re probably expecting me to say that the Pressure King Pro 6 Litre is just a bigger version of the 5L, but you’re wrong. The Pressure King Pro 6 Litre is more of a multi cooker, with more functionality.
– 14 easy, pre-programmed touch of a button cooking functions for: Meat, Fish, Stew/Soup, Veg, Cereals, Pasta, Rice, Cake, Bake, Crispy, Pizza, Egg, Yoghurt and Jam
As you can see, it can do the same as a Pressure King Pro 5 Litre, but it also has a bake function, a Crispy function, a Pizza function and you can even boil an egg in it.
The cooker is definitely suitable if you have a larger family, as it is 6 Litre, but that is the largest option of Pressure King Pro. There are larger options of pressure cookers, up to an 8 Litre, so if you are looking for something that large you will need to check different suppliers.
If you’re a more adventurous cook, or even if you’re stuck for space and don’t have much in cooking facilities, this might be a good choice for you. With a bake function it’s like having a mini oven on your worktop.
Is it the right choice for you?
The Pressure King Pro UK range gives a lot of flexibility, depending on your own circumstances. The Pressure King Pro 5 Litre and the Pressure King Pro 3 Litre are reasonably priced, so if you want to have an electric pressure cooker, don’t want to pay a lot, but you still want the functionality of some of the more expensive brands then this is definitely for you. It looks good, will fit on the worktop and you will probably want it to live there as once you start to use it, you won’t stop.
The Pressure King Pro 6 Litre is in a different category, it’s bigger in size, has more options but is also higher priced. At over £100 you need to decide if all the extras are worth it to you as you’re getting into the price range of the top of the range pressure cookers.
Most people who have bought this pressure cooker, use it every day because it is so easy. Soups, stews, pulses, curry, bolognese all tried and loved. The opinion is it is very quiet, very easy to use and very easy to clean.
People have had problems with the lid going on properly, and removing. There have also been problems with getting to pressure( could be linked to the lid problems).
This is a good, versatile piece of kitchen equipment. If you’re looking for a pressure cooker, you can buy a size to suit you in the Pressure King Pro range.
We recommend you buy your Pressure King Pro at Amazon.co.uk, they offer FREE Shipping, different colours in the different sizes and if you have Amazon Prime you can have it the next day.
